Info for parents

Inspire your child, help them make a real difference in the world, and land top uni places…

…by sharing Leaf’s new free online fellowships with them:

All three are 5-week, online programmes for smart, curious, and ambitiously altruistic UK students in years 11-13, running from 24th February to 31st March, 2024 (5 weeks finishing by most schools’ Easters), with applications due by Sunday 11th February, 2024.

Fellows will get Oxbridge-style learning with tutorials, talks and Q&As with professionals, plus support with UCAS applications and interviews. They are ideal for year 12s considering uni options or year 11s considering A-Levels, with year 13s welcome to apply as well.

Leaf was even better than anticipated. It was great that my daughter had the opportunity to delve deep, explore, discuss, broaden knowledge, perspectives, etc.
— Amber, parent of a Leaf Fellow
My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the Leaf programme; it will have a lasting impact on her. I didn’t have much knowledge of Leaf beforehand but am very impressed. Thank you to the fantastic team behind it.
— Caroline, parent of a Leaf fellow
My son was thrilled with the experience, especially the relationships established with ambitious young people outside his usual circles. The ability to remain in contact and tap into their experiences will be useful going forward.
— Emma, parent of a Leaf fellow

  • Anna, 2nd year at Cambridge Uni

“It probably helped me with my Cambridge interview. I was discussing the whole week with academics and other like-minded people… when I came to do my interview I felt more confident and was prepared.”

  • Suleman, 1st year Jaguar Land Rover degree apprentice

"Leaf helped me realise that there are actual initiatives I can get involved in to have a real impact on this world. I engaged in some of the most thought provoking discussions.”

  • Hannah, former admissions officer at three Oxford Colleges

“As well as being an excellent opportunity to explore how students can drive positive social change, Leaf can be used effectively in personal statements and interviews to demonstrate how you meet university selection criteria. Supporting Leaf Fellows is a rewarding experience for me.”
